What is FICAAR?
FICAAR stands for the International Hunting and Arms Fair celebrated annually in Madrid.

What kinds of people gather in this Fair?
Producers and distributors of some of the most prestigious companies in the arms sector (weapons, munitions, precision optics, and hunting knives), as well as gun shop owners, breeding centers, taxidermists, hunting artists and sport federations, self-propulsion innovators, hotels, restaurants, shooting organizations, and a long list of other institutions and associations related to hunting, arms, and shooting. All in all, anyone interested in and who has anything to do with the peculiar and comprehensive world of hunting will be gathered at FICAAR in order to present their quality products, special offers, and services, making this the main meeting grounds for true weapon enthusiasts and hunting lovers alike.

Is the Fair still true to its origin, or have its objectives allowed change over its many years of development?
The goal of the Fair is the same as when it originated, and that is to provide solutions to the demands of the sector. In other words, the Fair seeks to supply and accommodate any need related to that of arms, hunting and its accessories.

When it comes down to organization, are you taking into account the view of the public visitors or that of the exhibitors?
Both. The Fair is fundamentally a place in which people can come into contact with a wide range of suppliers.

It is important to set up good commercial displays in order to get the public to both show interest as well as show up, which are in effect interactive spaces where the world of arms and hunting can play a special role.

Will there only be exhibition displays, or are these also aimed to sell products?
Both things. The displays that work best are those which exhibit a company’s products, special offers, and innovations, while at the same time provide a perfect place to buy the most recent products or organize hunting expeditions all over the world.

Where do the exhibitors come from?
From all over the world. At last year’s Fair, there were over 226 companies exhibiting their products, and of those 75 were foreign from no less then 26 different countries.

What is it that distinguishes FICAAR from other hunting and arms fairs?
Fundamentally 3 things:

  1. The dates selected for its occurrence are both ideal for the exhibitors as well as the visitors
  2. It congregates more than 30,000 visitors from every part of Spain
  3. It offers the hunting lover the most complete and varied supply of Spanish hunting gear, laid out by a framework conceived to satisfy every demand of the public.

Do you see any changes taking place in future Fairs?
It is not about changing, but instead evolving with an especial eye towards increasing the quality of services and treatment we offer both visitors and exhibitors.

Any new projects in FICAAR’s future?
We seek to continue consolidating our leadership this country has in hunting fairs, both by innovation as well as by the incorporation other common sectors in order to invoke even more vigor into this international event.
